DonutApply vs Simplify and Jobright

Three ways to get through job applications faster. They differ most in where the jobs come from, which forms they fill, and whether anything is submitted without you.

Which one fits

DonutApply

You want openings straight from the companies, every form filled for you to check, a resume tailored in your own Word file, and nothing sent without you.

Simplify

You want a widely used autofill extension, or you want applications submitted for you with Simplify+ Autopilot.

Jobright

You want one feed that pulls in the big job boards alongside career pages, with an AI copilot to chat with.

Questions

Is DonutApply an alternative to Simplify?

Yes. Both fill job applications from your profile with a Chrome extension and track what you applied to. DonutApply also lists open US postings with ghost jobs flagged, tailors your resume inside your own Word file, and never submits an application for you; Simplify+ offers Autopilot, which submits applications for you, up to 20 a week.

Does DonutApply auto-apply to jobs?

No. It fills the form, attaches your resume and shows where every answer came from, and you press Submit. It can open a whole shortlist of applications at once so the filling goes quickly, but it never submits one.

How is DonutApply different from Jobright?

Jobright aggregates postings from job boards and career pages, and offers autofill, resume tailoring, a tracker and an AI copilot. DonutApply links every posting to the company's own apply page, flags likely ghost jobs, keeps your resume's own Word layout when it tailors, and works with your own Claude Code through MCP.
