Search open US postings with the filters from the site, see the ones nearest your resume, read a company's funding and pay, and keep a search to run again.
“Backend roles in New York at A-tier companies, pay over 200k.”
DonutApply is an MCP server. Connect it once and Claude can search open jobs, tailor your resume and fill applications from your profile, all on your own Claude subscription.
Apply with Claude Code
DonutApply is also an MCP server. Add it to Claude Code once and ask in plain words. It runs on your own Claude subscription.
claude mcp add --transport http
--scope user donutapply
https://app.donutapply.com /api/mcp
A terminal: the command that adds DonutApply to Claude Code, then a request to find staff security roles, tailor a resume for the best two and fill them. Claude searches postings, saves two tailored resumes, shortlists them, has the extension fill both forms in Chrome, and leaves both for you to review.
Set up
Run this once in a terminal. It stays added for every project.
claude mcp add --transport http
--scope user donutapply
https://app.donutapply.com /api/mcp
Start Claude Code and type this. A browser window opens, you sign in to your DonutApply account and allow Claude to use it.
/mcp
To fill forms, Claude needs to drive Chrome. Install the Claude in Chrome extension, then start Claude Code with this flag.
claude --chrome
Type this to work through your shortlist, or add a job number or a posting link for one job. Plain sentences work as well.
/mcp__donutapply__apply
What you can ask
Claude works from the same profile, resumes and tracker you see in the app, so it can do nothing there that you couldn't.
Search open US postings with the filters from the site, see the ones nearest your resume, read a company's funding and pay, and keep a search to run again.
“Backend roles in New York at A-tier companies, pay over 200k.”
Rewrite your Word resume for one job into a copy of its own. It rephrases and reorders; it doesn't add a skill you never listed. It can write a cover letter as a PDF too.
“Tailor my resume for the Bauer Systems job.”
Fill an application in your browser from your profile, saved answers and background, attach the right resume, and write open-ended answers in your voice.
“Apply to this job with DonutApply.”
Move a job forward, add an interview or a to-do, save interview prep, see who you know at a company, and log the outreach you sent.
“Prep me for my interview at Northwind Health.”
Several jobs at once
Ask Claude to go through your shortlist and it hands the first pass to the DonutApply extension.
Without the extension, Claude fills them one at a time in its own tabs. It works, just slower.
The batch page: four applications fill in their own tabs. Two are marked with an open-ended question the extension left, Claude answers both from your background, and all four end up ready for you to review.
The ground rules
These are in the instructions the server gives every session that connects.
Yes. DonutApply supplies your data and the tools, and the thinking happens in your own Claude session, on your subscription.
No. It leaves the filled form open and tells you what it filled, what it wrote and what it left empty. Once you say it went through, it marks the job applied and saves your answers for next time.
In the Claude app, add the same address as a connector under Customize, then Connectors. Other MCP clients that support remote servers with a browser sign-in should be able to use that address too, but we have only set it up for Claude.
For one job, no: Claude fills the form itself through Claude in Chrome. For a batch the extension does the first pass, which is much faster.
Not on its own. If your Claude has an email connector and you say so, it can read replies from companies and update your jobs, then list what it changed.
Donut apply so hard.
Fresh jobs keep arriving while you sleep. When you're up, the forms fill in minutes and the tracker keeps itself tidy.
