Fill SmartRecruiters applications from your profile
SmartRecruiters builds its form from web components, then adds a screening step of the company's own. DonutApply fills both from your profile and saved answers. You check it and press Submit.
How it fills a SmartRecruiters application
What a SmartRecruiters form asks, and what the fill does with each part.
-
A form other tools miss
SmartRecruiters draws its fields inside web components that a page's ordinary scripts can't see into. The extension reads inside them, so the fields actually fill.
-
Your details and resume
Name, email, phone, location and links from your profile. Your resume goes in the resume slot, never the photo slot.
-
Experience and education
Your jobs and schools from your profile, in order.
-
The screening step
After the first step, the company's own questions: answered from your saved answers and your record, with anything inferred outlined to check.
From your resume to a filled form
Set it up once. After that, every application starts mostly done.
-
Set up your profile
Upload your resume and DonutApply reads it into your profile: contact details, every job and school, your links. Add answers to the questions applications keep asking, like work authorization, sponsorship and start date.
-
Add the extension
Install it from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your DonutApply account. It opens as a side panel beside the application.
-
Open an application and press Fill
The form fills and your resume is attached. Every answer in the panel says where it came from and how sure it is, and anything worth a second look is outlined on the page.
-
Check it and press Submit
You submit. Once the form has gone through, the job is marked applied in your tracker, and the answers you settled on are kept for the next form that asks.
What it never does
- Press Submit. It fills and stops. Sending the application is you.
- Make things up. Answers come from your profile and what you have written. It never claims a license, clearance, degree or employer your record lacks, and never invents a salary.
- Solve a CAPTCHA. When a site asks for one, it waits for you.
- Keep your passwords. On a site that wants an account it types your email; you sign in, and your browser's password manager keeps the password.
On the free plan: unlimited autofill, one application at a time. A multi-page application counts as one.
On Pro, $19 a month: open your saved jobs at once and fill them side by side, with any CAPTCHAs lined up for you to answer back to back.
