Fill Workday applications without retyping your resume
Workday asks for everything your resume already says, one step at a time, on a new account at every company. DonutApply fills each step from your profile as it appears. You read it over and press Submit.
How it gets through a Workday application
Workday is the system big employers use most, and the longest form most people fill in. Here is what each part asks and what the fill does with it.
-
An account at every company
Every Workday site wants its own account. The extension types your email into the sign-in screen; you sign in or create the account, and your browser's password manager keeps the password. The extension never makes, reads or keeps a password. Some companies then email a link to confirm the address, which you click.
-
My Information
Your name, email, phone with its country code and address go in from your profile. “How did you hear about us?” is found inside Workday's nested lists, the company's own careers site where the list offers one.
-
My Experience
One row per job and per school in your profile, added in order: titles, employers, dates and what you did. Schools and fields of study are picked from Workday's search lists,.
-
Application Questions
Work authorization, sponsorship and the company's screening questions come from your saved answers. Where your record only implies an answer, it is filled and outlined for you to check. It never claims a license, clearance, degree or employer your record lacks.
-
Voluntary Disclosures
Gender, ethnicity, veteran and disability questions take your saved answers, or the form's own “decline to answer” when you have none.
-
Save and Continue
You press it, and the next step fills as Workday draws it. The last step's button says Submit, and that one is always yours.
From your resume to a filled form
Set it up once. After that, every application starts mostly done.
-
Set up your profile
Upload your resume and DonutApply reads it into your profile: contact details, every job and school, your links. Add answers to the questions applications keep asking, like work authorization, sponsorship and start date.
-
Add the extension
Install it from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your DonutApply account. It opens as a side panel beside the application.
-
Open an application and press Fill
The form fills and your resume is attached. Every answer in the panel says where it came from and how sure it is, and anything worth a second look is outlined on the page.
-
Check it and press Submit
You submit. Once the form has gone through, the job is marked applied in your tracker, and the answers you settled on are kept for the next form that asks.
What it never does
- Press Submit. It fills and stops. Sending the application is you.
- Make things up. Answers come from your profile and what you have written. It never claims a license, clearance, degree or employer your record lacks, and never invents a salary.
- Solve a CAPTCHA. When a site asks for one, it waits for you.
- Keep your passwords. On a site that wants an account it types your email; you sign in, and your browser's password manager keeps the password.
On the free plan: unlimited autofill, one application at a time. A multi-page application counts as one.
On Pro, $19 a month: open your saved jobs at once and fill them side by side, with any CAPTCHAs lined up for you to answer back to back.
Questions about Workday autofill
Is there a free Workday autofill?
Yes. The DonutApply Chrome extension fills Workday applications for free, as many as you like, one at a time. It fills each step from your profile, outlines anything it is unsure of, and stops before Submit.
Does it create my Workday account?
It types your email into the account screen. You choose the password and press Create Account or Sign In, and your browser's password manager can keep it. The extension never sees or stores a password.
Why does Workday make me type my resume again?
Workday keeps a separate candidate profile at every company and asks you to confirm each job and school as its own row. The extension does that typing from your DonutApply profile, so each new company takes minutes instead of half an hour.
Will it submit the application for me?
No. It fills the form and stops. You read what it put in, change anything you like, and press Submit yourself.
Is it free?
Yes. Filling applications is free and unlimited, one application at a time, with no card asked for. Pro, $19 a month, opens several saved jobs at once and fills them side by side.
